A Preliminary Report

The 6 lesions shown developed sequentially over a 3-year period with no precursor lesions on a 62-year-old woman. The order of occurrence was right forearm (Figure 1), right lateral knee (Figure 2), right base of the neck (Figure 3), left posterior calf (Figure 4), dorsum of the right shoulder (Figure 5), and left upper arm (Figure 6). The patient's father had a melanoma on the face. The patient and her mother, sister, and sister's daughter all had a history of breast cancer. Vitiligo was found in her mother and her sister.

Histologically, the lesion in Figure 1 was an amelanotic lentigo maligna melanoma, Breslow level 0.25 mm, and the other 5 lesions were lentigo maligna.
